With over 30 years of accounting experience, Lori brings unmatched financial expertise and real-world business insight to her role as Founder of Clarity Consulting, Business Management and fractional CFO firm dedicated to helping small and mid-sized businesses thrive. Throughout her career, she has owned and operated three successful companies—each of which she grew, two of which were sold, and exited profitably—giving her firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face.
A firm believer in integrity, transparency, and “by-the-books” business practices, Lori is known for her meticulous approach to financial management and her commitment to building long-term trust with clients. Her ability to combine technical accounting knowledge with strategic vision allows her to deliver actionable insights that drive growth, stability, and profitability.
Married and a proud mother of four, Lori balances her passion for business with a strong dedication to family. She approaches every client relationship with the same level of care, honesty, and commitment she has built her personal and professional life upon.
Background
Lori launched her first business, Lori’s Bookkeeping Services, in 1996 while simultaneously obtaining a Certificate of Accounting Degree at the local community college in Manchester, Connecticut, and balancing her role as a wife and mother to four young children.
She went on to grow that company into Comprehensive Business Solutions, sell it for a profit, and relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she started all over again with Accounting By The Books. This time, she learned from her past hiccups and again grew and sold the business for a profit.
Today, Lori offers CFO and controller services and shares her insights with small business owners looking to grow or sell their businesses. In addition to her financial expertise, Lori has also served as a trusted business manager for artists, helping creative professionals structure their finances and build sustainable careers.

Tania is an analytical, results-driven accounting professional with over 15 years of experience across all facets of accounting and financial operations. Her extensive background spans tax filings, payroll, forensic accounting, and financial reporting, serving clients ranging from startups to mid-sized businesses.
Tania began her career at an accounting firm, where she played a key role in delivering comprehensive financial services and compliance support. She later advanced into the construction industry, working with multiple residential, commercial, and foreclosure-focused companies as a Controller. In these roles, she led financial operations, improved reporting processes, and ensured regulatory compliance across diverse real estate projects.
Tania holds a master’s degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her hands-on experience, combined with her academic background, allows her to bring strategic insight and operational efficiency to every client engagement.
